Costume Workshop with Crystal Woods
Step into the world of theatrical transformation in this dynamic three-part workshop on costume design and storytelling. Discover how costumes do more than dress a character—they bring stories to life.
From the foundations of costume theory to the final fitting, participants will explore how to design for both individual actors and an entire cast. Learn how to work with different body types, enhance character through thoughtful design, and collaborate effectively to bring a director’s and actor’s vision to the stage.
This hands-on workshop will guide you through building a costume from start to finish, including basic fittings and simple alterations. You’ll also dive into the power of color in storytelling—how it can shape mood, define character, and communicate emotion to your audience before a single word is spoken.
