A Seussified Dickens play… That could be sweet!

A whimsical reinvention of Dickens’ most beloved Christmas story in wacky rhymed couplets. With zoot fruited juices and binka bird geese, from Bed-Headed Fred to Timmy Loo Hoo, this tale of glorious holiday cheer is similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with — if he ever had his way with the story…

It’s not that Old Dickens can’t be understood, but we think some rhyming might make him more good.

Belle Fourche Community Theater’s First Christmas Show

There had been talk of doing a Christmas show almost since the beginning of BFCT and in 2015 it made sense to give it a go, but being Belle Fourche, we couldn’t do just any Christmas Carol. It had to be a bit different. We decided to lean into the zaniness and did A Seussified Christmas Carol, an incredibly fun retelling of the Christmas classic done with that old Seuss flair. The show was such a hit with the community and the cast that Christmas shows have become a community theater staple in Belle Fourche ever since.
